An impressive family home

A breathtaking six bedroom barn conversion, with a vast seven and a half meter vaulted ceiling height and galleried reception room, located in Old Amersham.

Built in around 1760, this Grade II listed barn has been extended and renovated to the highest standard.

The entrance hallway leads to a bespoke handmade kitchen with Siemens appliances throughout, a large central island with breakfast bar, built in corner dining table and seating area, together with direct access through double doors to the rear patio and lawned West facing garden.

From the kitchen there is also direct access to the dining/drawing room, which features the full spectacular seven and a half meter vaulted ceiling height, overlooked by the gallery of the first floor reception room which takes full advantage of the wooden beams, with an impressive working fireplace to the far end.

Back to the ground floor, the principle bedroom is full of character, with open wooden beams separating the bedroom from the ensuite with freestanding bath and separate shower. A separate wing has four further bedrooms and family bathroom, one of the bedrooms with twin double doors to the South East facing patio and lawn.

The barn also benefits from lawned gardens on both sides of the property, with electric gates leading to a double garage with full loft storage, as well as gravelled driveway with parking for another four or five cars.

Location

The historic market town of Amersham enjoys an idyllic setting at the heart of the Chilterns. Within the town are a variety of renowned restaurants, cafes and bars together with boutique clothing shops, and the area is also noted for its excellent schools.

For the commuter, Amersham train station provides Metropolitan and Chiltern line services to London via Baker Street and Marylebone respectively. Vehicular links to London and Heathrow can be accessed via junction 2 of the M40 (Beaconsfield) or the M25 at junction 18 (Chorleywood), both of which are within 7 miles.

Situated within one mile are a variety of restaurants and shops at Amersham on the Hill including Marks & Spencer, WHSmith, Boots and Waitrose. There are also several well regarded sports clubs nearby, including Amersham & Chiltern Rugby Club and Chesham Bois Tennis & Squash Club.
